Sierra Gateway Trust, Inc. is a California 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 2006 and dedicated to protecting and promoting Fresno
County's Gateway to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks.
Our mission is to maintain and enhance the aesthetic and environmental
qualities of Fresno County's gateway to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks while maintaining the traditional agricultural base
of the gateway area, to encourage the development of appropriate tourism in this sector, and to promote appreciaton of the cultural,
historic and natural resources of the gateway.
Much of our early work focused on helping to make Highway 180 a State Scenic
Highway. We worked with both Caltrans and Fresno County to facilitate this.
